Diaries of a laborer in New Hampshire and Maine. William Whittemore kept a diary from Jan. 1, 1870 to July 29, 1871 and in 1875 while working as a laborer for William W. Bragg in Errol, New Hampshire. Entries are brief and record the weather and work he did on the farm during the summer and logging at the Millsfield Pond dam during the winter. He also trapped animals during the winter. Included in the 1875 diary is a list of game he caught in the winter of 1875/1876. Included also is a tax bill for William Whittemore for the year 1869 from the town of Errol, New Hampshire.
